We took a ferry to the island of Cozumel to try a little snorkeling. Last year, we went snorkeling around Puerto Morelos which had a lot more reef. Most of Cozumel's reef, I heard, were destroyed by a recent hurricane but had so many fish that we felt like we were in an aquarium. Beautiful water even at the dock! We got off the ferry and look over and were amazed how blue and clear the water was. We got on the glass bottom boat and went to three different sites for snorkeling and took about 2.5 hours. 35 dollars per person with drinks included. No reservation, just got to the pier on Cozumel side and bought it from a man without arm. He lost his arm in an accident when he was working as an electrician. I think the camera did well. This time I didn't forget to set it to Underwater mode, which took out a lot of 'Blues" from the image. I forgot to do that last year and had to do a lot of post processing to get rid of the blue/greens. I stil wish I had a good underwater case for my GF1. Hoping to find a reasonable one soon. Originally taken in AVCHD Lite format on TS2 and imported into iMac using iMovie.
